Michaella is a small girl living with both parents in a small community that is surrounded with thick forest and swamp land in the northern part of Sierra Leone. She has not yet started attending school. Her parents engage in farming activities as their main source of income. They grew different types of seasonal crops in a small piece of land inherited by Michaela late grandfather. The income raised after selling some of the harvested produce is not only used for food but to also take care of clothing, medical and other emergency needs of the home. Her mother sometimes engaged in petty trading in order for them to survive on two meals a day. Michaella and parents dwell in a mud house with four rooms living with another different family. She sleeps with both parents in a single room. Their annual income is around US$35. Michaela like dancing. With the help of sponsorship, she and her family will have the opportunity to live a better life in their community and have a brighter future ahead.
